2001
Torres studies computer graphics at Mesmer 3D Animation Labs in Seattle, WA. His thesis is a detailed New York City model with the WTC intact, made to create a usable set for future projects. He uses SGI and Intel Xeon workstations with Maya software, where each scene takes up to a week to render. The final product is a short fly-through of the city for shaping and future simulations.
2002
Torres posted his first artworks for sale on a new site called eBay. He quickly built a market and became a top seller, reaching people worldwide as an independent artist. He also set up a proper studio in his home garage for the first time.
2004
Torres enrolls in Cornish College of the Art in Seattle to formalize his training and establish a practice in both design and art.
